JCAT54: The 54th Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis Journeys will be dedicated to understanding physico-chemical interactions in complex compartments based on Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry techniques.
This event allows our community to present their work and discuss in a welcoming and stimulating atmosphere. All contributions are welcome whether you are an expert in calorimetry or a user, a senior researcher or a student: an unexpected question can lead to a major scientific breakthrough.
This year, the highlights will be on the themes of the environment, polymers and materials. In addition, part of the congress will be devoted to free themes related to calorimetry and thermal analysis. The scientific program is structured around five main themes:
Innovations and instrumental developments in thermal analysis
Gas ab/ad-sorption, CCUS and cold/heat production
Physical chemistry of polymers – durability – life cycle
Thermal behavior of materials (composites, divided materials, etc.)
Free themes
This conference is open to all researchers, academic or industrial, interested in thematic related to Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry. But they are also and particularly addressed to Researchers of Tomorrow, Masters, PhD and Post-Doctoral Students, who are passionate by these topics.
These Journeys will highlight the work of our young colleagues who are strongly encouraged to come and present their results themselves. A “poster” prize and an “oral communication” prize will be awarded to reward the work carried out by one of our “young participants”
The conferences will give a great opportunity to learn about the latest technical developments in equipment. The presence of several manufacturers is always very appreciated, because it allows industrials as well as academics to search and find the best equipment for innovative research projects. Technological innovations developed in research laboratories may also be highlighted.
Finally, to enable the deepening of knowledge, a session of lecture-lectures given by personalities in the field will be associated with the JCAT54 scientific sessions explaining the theoretical and technical bases of thermal analysis and calorimetry as well as their applications in different areas.
